Today UN Youth marks the 2011 International Youth Day, as well as the conclusion of the 2010-2011 International Year of Youth.

International Youth Day draws attention to youth issues around the world, and encourages youth empowerment. This is embodied by the accompanying "Change Our World" message. Youth are making news right around the world—never have the issues surrounding youth been more pertinent.

While the International Year of Youth may have concluded, UN Youth hope to continue the youth conversation.
