WHAT IS the UN Youth National Conference?
The UN Youth National Conference, Striving for Justice, in 2012 is an opportunity for high school students (Years 10-12) from around the Australia and the Asia-Pacific to come together and explore international issues. Throughout the week delegates will participate in workshops, hear from keynote speakers and partake in Model UN debate culminating in the preparation of a Youth Declaration on policy issues that affect their lives and communities.
The National Conference will be attended by over 100 delegates from around Australia, as well as delegates from New Zealand, Japan and Tonga. A further 50 tertiary aged organisers and facilitators will lead the week’s activities providing best practice youth-for-youth leadership. The attendees at the conference are exceptional young people from around the world, and future global change makers.
