StatesMun 2012

After intense deliberations and difficult decisions, the delegation for StatesMUN 2012 has been confirmed! These lucky 14 people will join the director and assistant director on a three week tour of the USA.

The tour will for the first time visit the west coast of the USA, and fittingly it will al begin in the city where the UN began - San Francisco. From there, the delegates will fly to Washington DC to visit Congress, the Australian Embassy, the Pentagon and Arlington Military cemetery, the US Supreme Court and of course the free museums and monuments. As if that isn't enough, the delegates then head to New York City for five nights of rock solid urban action. In the concrete jungle where dreams are made of, delegates will visit the United Nations in addition to experiencing the multitude of sights, sounds, tastes and other uniquely New York-ish moments that everyone dreams about. Finally, the delegates will head to Boston to represent Australia at the Harvard National Model United Nations competition.

If all of this sounds like something you want to be a part of, and if you'll still be a student at an Australian university in 2012, consider applying for StatesMUN 2013! Applications will open early in 2012 - stay tuned for more information.
