Ruvini is an Arts/Law student from Melbourne, majoring in International Relations with a minor in Philosophy. She is particularly interested in issues of conflict resolution, international law and refugee and asylum seeker issues.

Ruvini works part-time for Embrace Education, a not-for-profit organisation coordinating volunteer tutoring for disadvantaged high school students, particularly from refugee and recent migrant backgrounds. Ruvini has been involved in UN Youth Australia for seven years, starting off as a high school delegate to conferences and competitions before moving onto various organisational positions.

Her passion for the work of UN Youth Australia is based on its power to open young eyes to the intricacies of global challenges and inspire young Australians to work towards a better world.
